When you are waiting and looking for a home, the house finds you
We are Susanna and Alex, and we are grateful to say that all the people we have met and worked with have felt uplifted. Here you will find our great secret which is very simple and is a truth that we are happy to share with you:
Although we don’t permanently live here, it’s a house we strongly inhabit.
Over the past 20 years we’ve been successfully running our interior architectural estudio Susanna Cots, and we’ve discovered that neither time or space are a limitation.
We’ve found that nature has the power to unlock these boundaries when incorporated into design that diffuses and makes invisible these restrictions.
That is why this space captures our essence - the minimum expression of the maximum emotion.
The house was in ruins and a little did we know when we started the renovation that we would uncover a hidden gem, a piece of the original medieval wall of Peratallada from the 12th and 13th centuries. The wall now forms part of our boutique.
This beautiful discovery not only reshaped the design but anchored us more in our plans for The Eleven House:
